As I minister in cities across America, it has become clear that certain regions have already become pockets of awakening and revival. While searching the scriptures concerning this next great move of God, Holy Spirit has spotlighted the book of Acts, and the Church of Antioch, specifically. It is clearly a model we are to follow. Fully laying hold of the power of Christ’s death and resurrection, as well as that of the Holy Spirit, Antioch broke the mold on how the church was to function. Through this, they also broke barriers to kingdom expansion.
In order to fully release this book-of-Acts-type of outpouring across the nation, God is changing paradigms and bringing us to higher levels of maturity as sons of God (Romans 12:15-19). To successfully shift into this new season, however, we must finish our present season well.
It’s important that we allow Holy Spirit to take a profound look inside of us and answer the question, “Is there anything I’ve left undone in the last season?” Are there processes God began in me, that I have not allowed Him to bring to completion? God wants to deal with the residue of the past season so it will not hold us back from entering into the new. While this requires a sincere effort on our part, I am confident the Lord is releasing a supernatural ability to respond to this call.
