This is my favorite book from Dutch Sheets - what an incredible storehouse of understanding and teaching. I borrowed a copy from the library, but have since purchased my own copy because it is so rich with revelation that I want to keep re-reading it until an understanding of the concepts within it are deposited deep into my mind, heart, and spirit. It's a game changer for priestly and kingly intercession.

Such a good comprehensive in-depth development of how to grow in authority in prayer and intercession. So much more than just saying "In the Name of Jesus" to be effective and fruitful in defeating the schemes of our spiritual enemies. Thanks Dutch for your thoroughness and depth.

Best book I have ever read!
Authority in Prayer is one of the best books I have ever read. It reminds me of several things I believe the church has forgotten. We are made and owned by God. If we want any Authority in our kingdom, we must submit to the one who made us and redeemed us. Our purpose on earth is to rule and reign as co-regents under the Kingship of Jesus in the hear and now. We can have an governmental impact if we pray back to God what He has said because "His Word does not return void." He puts His power behind our delegated authority to make His Word come true.
A must read for anyone who wants to influence world events through Prayer.

This is one of the most enlightning books and teaching manuals I have ever had the opportunity to study and study I have done; I laughed this morning as I finished the levels and realized that I thought I knew a lot of good 'stuff' and that after this, I do not know anything that would be very useful in the world we live in today. I am a person of prayer... have been a long time but I knew nothing about decreeing or declaring or the levels of authority... thank you so much Dutch Sheets for putting this in a book form that can be read over and over and used as needed!!!

I read Dutch Sheets’ books as devotionals - a little every morning - so it takes me awhile to get through them. I just finished Intercessory Prayer and loved it. Now I’m going through Authority in Prayer and am enjoying it too. My prayer life has benefited greatly, and I have just bought both of these books for my daughter. Thanks, Dutch! Excellent book and practical help for your prayer life. I love his writing style and his sense of humor. The horse story with his brother was over the top! This is my 2nd book I have purchased from him on prayer. Good stuff!
Awareness
This book is very motivating. It helps you understand you have a Priestly anionting to speak the word forth and a Kingly anionting to decree a thing and it shall be established according to scripture. God is using people such as Dutch Sheets and others to make us aware of our power and authority with God in prayer and how to interceed for others. This book brings an awareness and authority of who we are in Christ in prayer giving us another strength to know God wants us to take our position in Heavenly places with him. I love this book but not throught reading it yet.

Dutch KNOWS His God!
This book was authored by a man who knows God well., has sat at the feet of Jesus, longing for more, listened intently to God's voice and walked intimately with the Lord. He can teach with passion on the authority of prayer for all the reasons I just stated. Dutch has learned from the best teacher known to man; God himself . You will never find any better books than Dutch 's on prayer This book will teach you many things.; even if you're a seasoned intercessor, you will glean much new knowledge from this book. Go buy this book and get ready to walk into a new dimension of authority. Sadly, far to many Christians are cowering in fear of our adversary instead of using our God given authority. Get educated , then put on your armor and take up your place in battle!!
Authority in Prayer is a MUST read for every Warrior
In late 2015 the Lord gave me an assignment to serve Him as a warrior. I have been preparing and developing my understanding for this assignment and Authority in Prayer was most helpful to me. Strong foundation based on the Word. Great practical advice and amazing stories. It wasn't until I got to the epilogue that I realized it is 10 years old. I would be great to have a current version. There seem to have been many reversals of the gains covered in the epilogue. It would be great to have Dutch's perspective on these.

awesome book on prayer
I sent all my family a copy and I have heard how good they think the book is, easy to read short to the point and the younger folks especially liked the fact prayer is not long drawn out prayers that sound holy and they have authority to pray as God leads them. I think it motivated all of us to learn how to proclaim God's word and decree and declare what God's telling us. Praying with authority as God leads us combined with tongues makes it easier to pray because we don't have to come up with stuff on our own its Spirit lead and effective. The fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Personally I read this book before and it helped me and our intercessory prayer group but now after I read it again I notice I just don't waste precious time I don't beg God I come boldly yet humbly before his throne and as far as warfare I don't mess around; by taking a stand once in the authority I know I have makes it easier to just take care of God's business with my mouth like he has asked me to do. And then just stand firm in faith knowing God is taking care of it
powerful and inspirational
As a men's ministry pastor it is alway encouraging and exciting to find a resourse that inspires men to stand up and go to battle. Authority In Prayer has transformed our men's group into spiritural warriors.

Much Needed Book
There are few who write about this subject and fewer still who write about it with wisdom and clarity. I had been looking for an authoritative source to this subject and this is it. If you really want to know about your spiritual authority I highly recommend this book.
